Become immersed in a series of landscapes and events, then write postcards back to your co-game developer and Ludum Dare buddy, Paul. Your choices influence the story, but what's more important is how you engage with and reflect on this meditative journey.

This game was originally developed in 48 hours for the Ludum Dare 54 Compo, which had the theme "Limited Space".

Postcards is meant to be sweet and thought provoking, but is primarily text-based. Expect play time to be around 25 minutes.

Highlights of Update 3

  • The backend of the game was changed to Twine's Snowman 2.02 format, from Harlowe 3.3.7 previously. As such the game is completely different internally, but will look largely the same.
  • The interface for writing postcards was changed to be more in line with my original vision of the game. You can see an example in the game screenshots here or in the Update 3 devlog.
  • All previous known issues, particularly the graphical glitches on laptops have been fixed.
  • For more changes and details, see the Update 3 devlog.

Future Updates

  • Update 4 is expected to be the final update, with small epilogues for each ending, and should be ready in early to mid March.
  • I hope to release technically focused dev diaries about the process of converting from Harlowe to Snowman at some point as well.
