Forgotten Files
Update!
This is updated, post-jam version of the game I originally made for Ludum Dare 57!
The update adds way more depth to the two alternate paths, one of which makes the game more challenging with a new and difficult puzzle, the other makes the game very silly. There is also polish to the original puzzles and a few quality of life fixes, especially around restarting the game: if you remember the correct answers, you won't have to track down the clues again.
The one thing I didn't have time to implement properly was a File Search to dig even deeper into Gran's files. I may add it later, or likely develop a new project around that kind of mechanic.
Let me know what you think!
Small additional update: Now when you reset, you don't have to do all the legwork to collect clues or re-solve the first puzzle.
What is Forgotten Files?
This is a small multiple-choice, entirely text based interactive fiction puzzle game. Search for clues and deduce the correct way to access the files that your recently deceased grandmother left you.
I originally made this game in under 9 hours while learning ChoiceScript. I didn't expect it to knock anyone's socks off, but then apparently it did!
